STORY TELLING through PRODUCTS
How do you tell the story of a product? I try to see the story about everything I shoot. Yes, the common way is to just shoot a product on white background, however I try to find standout characteristics of each item and capture that in a beautiful and unique way that sells.
MARK MIHEVC's HANDCRAFTED MALOOF CHAIR
Mark is a very talented person who works with wood as a hobby. He's been working with wood since he was a kid. Software writer by day and woodworking hobbiest by night. This black belt in TaeKwonDo has created his 6th Maloof chair that can be sold for literally thousands of dollars however this time Mark was giving this as a gift to his children's teacher that has meant so much to their family over the past 6 years. What a beautiful gift! I tried to capture the details of his hand carved Maloof chair, and of Mark in action and in his HAPPY place. Telling the story not just of the chair, but of the creator of the chair. Mark has also made guitars, ukuleles, and even a bike frame out of bamboo that he rode for a year. Amazing and talented!
